NSLDN Issues Statement on Secretary DeVos's Proposed Rescission of the Gainful Employment Rule

On August 10, 2018, the National Student Legal Defense Network issued the following statement on the announcement by the U.S. Department of Education regarding its proposal to rescind the Gainful Employment rule.

“With each new action, Secretary DeVos makes clearer that her allegiances are to for-profit college executives first, taxpayers last, and students never. These regulations were already protecting students from racking up debt for worthless degrees, saving taxpayers money, and improving the quality of career education programs. Scrapping them will only further enrich failing and fraudulent schools at the expense of everyone else.”
